Becoming-with

Becoming-with is a collaborative exhibition that speaks to a common understanding between the artists and their entanglement with each other and the space. The act of collaboration resists individuality and generates nonlinear ways of making. The artists participating in the exhibition are Camila de Andrade Bianchi, Arianna Barley, Wabwila Mugala, and Liza Stout.

Through assemblage, the artists thread together fabrics dyed with their organic food waste to emphasize collaboration and its potential to foster generative transformation. As a small-scale modeling of material ways of dialogue, the installation exhibits the process through which the artists challenge the limitations of space and language to arrive at a common ground of shared meanings.
